CyberSmart Active Protect Integration Guide

Connect CyberSmart Active Protect to Adoptech to automatically import device compliance data and generate evidence for endpoint security controls.

Overview

The CyberSmart Active Protect integration enables Adoptech to automatically import device compliance data from CyberSmart.

Once connected, Adoptech retrieves device status information from CyberSmart Active Protect and uses it to support endpoint security monitoring, device hardening, patch management and compliance evidence collection.

This integration helps organisations:

  • Monitor whether company devices meet security requirements
  • Evidence device hardening controls
  • Track encryption, firewall and anti-malware status
  • Identify unsupported or insecure devices
  • Generate audit-ready evidence for endpoint protection controls

Please note: this integration only works where CyberSmart Active Protect has been purchased through Adoptech. If CyberSmart was purchased elsewhere, Adoptech may not be able to access your data through the CyberSmart API.

Prerequisites

Before configuring the integration, ensure that:

  • CyberSmart Active Protect API must be enabled for your organisation - this must be done by the the company you purchased the service from e.g. your MSP or Adoptech

What Data We Collect

Once connected, Adoptech retrieves read-only device compliance information from CyberSmart, including:

  • Device inventory
  • Device operating system status
  • Firewall status
  • Anti-malware status
  • Disk encryption status
  • Password or PIN status
  • Local admin status
  • Automatic update status
  • Mobile device security status
  • Jailbreak or root detection status

Users’ training status is not currently available through this integration.

What We Use the Data For

The imported CyberSmart data is used to:

  • Monitor endpoint compliance
  • Evidence device hardening controls
  • Support patch and update management evidence
  • Identify devices that do not meet security requirements
  • Provide audit evidence for ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS and other compliance frameworks

How to Configure Adoptech

  1. Log in to Adoptech.
  2. Navigate to Apps & Integrations.
  3. Find the CyberSmart tile.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Adoptech will automatically import device data and compliance status from CyberSmart Active Protect.

Once connected, device information will be visible on the Devices page in Adoptech.

How the Integration Works

Adoptech connects to CyberSmart using the CyberSmart API.

Device compliance data is imported into Adoptech and mapped to relevant controls, checks and tests. This allows device compliance status to be used as evidence for security and compliance activities.
